Video Clips - Explanations

Sweep Net - Entomologist Dr. John Jackman demonstrates how to use a sweep net to collect insects.
Beat Sheet - Two class participants use a beating stick and sheet to collect insect specimens from a bush.
TEKS - Class participants use TEKS sheets in preparing their lesson plans.
Aspirators - Two students use aspirators ("bug suckers") to pick up insects off the ground.
Roach Pull - The strength of a cockroach is demonstrated by tying it to a petri dish full of pennies and watching it pull the dish.
